Dr Bob, his wife Jana, and family, along with their partner and friend Marcus Beraza, have worked alongside the disenfranchised Haitian people and impoverished Dominicans on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic for over 30 years. Dominican Crossroads began out of the desire to alleviate the suffering and poverty that was found scattered through the cane fields in shanty huts and refugee villages.
What started out as making a few sandwiches for families living and scouring the garbage dumps, evolved into a ministry that has provided more than several thousand homes, free medical clinics, schools, water systems, and feeding programs with the support from groups worldwide.
Crossroads continues to work amongst the poorest of the poor, but efforts are now focused on providing much needed medical attention and nutritional programs. Dr Bob coordinates these efforts from his clinic in Sosua, and works hand in hand with several hospitals and doctors nearby.
Crossroads provides funding for much needed surgeries, diagnostic studies, laboratory work, and nutritional programs for the severely malnourished that come through its doors. The need seems endless at times, and funding is limited, but we try to serve and help all the many people that come in desperately needing medical attention.
If you would like to donate to our ministry, it is tax deductible, and every little bit helps bless the lives of those we serve.
